About Us
Several years ago, my husband and I were blessed to purchase a beach home on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina. We loved the area so much that we have made it our permanent home. What a wonderful place to raise your children and cavaliers. We are what I call "selective breeders". We plan our breeding and select the mates that we feel best exemplifies the standards of the Cavalier breed. We do not have a kennel. Our cavaliers are raised in our home as part of our family.Animals have always been a part of my life. I grew up raising/training /showing "western quarter horses". I too had an active role in training by father's hunting dogs. In 1996, my life was traumatized at the age of 42 by a destructive stroke which I suffered while teaching in my classroom. The stroke left me with a disorder known as “Spasmodic Torticollis”. Six months later I had to refocus my life completely. I could no longer be a public educator. Even though my body did not allow me to share myself in the teaching field, my heart still desired to help others.

My husband and I became very active in foster care. Many children that we had in our home had never experienced having a pet. So we purchased basset hounds and started showing them. We found the dogs to be great therapy for my physical condition and the social/emotional condition of the children. Three years later in the year 2000 the Lord opened an unexpected door and brought two wonderful children in our home permanently. During this same time we were introduced to the Cavalier breed. The children loved the breed so much that they started training to become junior handlers. Our goal is to instill in our children and new owners that we must continue to strive to improve the Cavalier through active participation and commitment to the breed.
